How do I find the film that I am looking for?

To find what you want you can type a keyword or the full title of the film that you are looking for into the search box at the top of every page. You are also able browse by genre. To do this click on the browse button on the left of each screen.


What if I cannot find something?

The first thing to check is your spelling. If this is correct we advise you check with the BBFC web site to see if the film is available in the UK. If it is and the film has been deleted then please use our free video search facility and we will do all we can to track it down for you at the best possible price.


How do I order?

When you find a film that you wish to buy simply click on the basket icon or add to basket and the film will be put in to your shopping basket. Don't worry - putting something in your shopping basket does not mean that you have to buy it. It just saves a list of items that you may be interested in buying. You can easily remove goods later. When you have finished shopping just click on the checkout icon and the top of the screen and follow the easy steps to pay for your goods.


What payment methods do you accept?

  • Chartbusters accepts all major credit and debit cards. These include Visa, Delta, MasterCard, Switch, Solo, Visa Electron, American Express and Eurocard.
  • You can pay by cheque but only in pounds sterling. Paying by cheque will slowdown your order somewhat as your items will not be despatched until the funds have cleared, typically seven days after we receive the cheque.
  • Postal Orders again denominated in pounds sterling. Orders will be despatched as soon as the postal order is received.
  • Cash in pounds sterling or US dollars but please send recorded delivery!
  • Electronic bank transfer to our account


How do I pay for my order?

  • By paying at the checkout with your credit or debit card via our secure server. Simply fill in the order form and submit for processing.

  • By printing off the order form and returning it by fax to ++44 (0)1582 721 575 or by post to:

How secure is your server?

Orders placed on-line are fully protected by our secure server which encrypts all information before it is sent to us, making paying on-line more secure than handing over your card over in a restaurant or paying over the telephone where no such encryption takes place. Furthermore we adhere to strict security measures as laid down by law in the Data Protection Acts of 1984 and 1988. For additional security all customer information is stored on a stand-alone PC that is not connected to the Internet.

There has never been an instance of a reported case of fraudulent use of a credit or debit card as a result of purchases made with us.


What about my privacy?

Any information that you supply us with is for our use only. We are totally committed to your privacy and fully understand the frustrations of receiving junk mail so we do not pass any customer details to anyone else. All customer information is held on a database that is not connected to the Internet.


What is your returns policy?

Our commitment to customer satisfaction means that Chartbusters operates a 'no quibbles' returns policy. We take back any item for any reason so long as it is returned to us within 30 days of purchase and in the condition it was sent. We will issue a full refund for the price of the item and will also refund delivery charges where items are returned as result of our error.

An administration charge of £2.50 will be made for returns that are not as a result of faulty or defective goods. Unless returned for any error made on our part.

UK customers can usually cross out their own name and address and write 'Return to Sender' putting our address on the back of the parcel saving them the postage and a trip to the post office!. Please include a brief note detailing the reason for returning the item along with the receipt for the returned goods. This does not affect your statutory rights.


What are your delivery terms?

We aim to despatch all items that are in stock within 24 hours, excluding weekends. Any items that are available should be sent within 3-4 days unless otherwise stated. Delivery within the UK usually takes 1-3 days from despatch.

Delivery charges are as follows:

  • UK - GBP 1.50 per item up to a maximum of GBP 10.00
  • Europe - GBP 2.00 per item
  • Rest of The World - GBP 3.00 per item


Why are some items marked 'New' while others are not?

As well as offering every available UK release, Chartbusters sell a massive range of rare and deleted titles. Many of these films have long since been out-of-print so finding a new copy would be near on impossible. Every item we sell that has been previously viewed is chemically cleaned and checked before it is sent. Furthermore everything is fully guaranteed as per our returns policy.
